Living From the Heart - Sacred Ceremony
During this guided sacred ceremony you'll be given the opportunity to reconnect with and listen to your heart. Moving out of the analytical, left-brained action orientation, and dropping into the quiet calm of inner-knowing, we'll envelope you in a cocoon of tranquility so you can hear the call of the wild feminine.
Daily Yoga
Our yoga sessions will be approximately 1-hour in duration at varying times during the retreat. Some will be held outdoors (weather permitting) and others indoors. You'll experience 3 different types of Hatha yoga (vinyasa, restorative and slow flow) for a total of 4 sessions. Props and mats will be provided. Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. These sessions are designed to accommodate all experience levels of yogis. Modifications will be discussed and hands-on support if desired.
05
Recognizing Symptoms of Imbalance During Perimenopause & Menopause
An Ayurveda perspective about female health. Learn how to interpret the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, and discover what mechanism in the body might be impacted. We'll discuss the typical symptoms and provide guidance on ways to reduce their intensity and frequency.
07
Soul Collage
Explore your intuitive nature with an art therapy form called Soul Collage. During this class, we'll use imagery to help us reflect and understand the true nature of the soul. The instructor will provide prompts, journaling time and creation time for you to make 1-2 cards that can help you better understand your patterns, triggers and innate responses to external stimuli. Eating & Fasting Right for Your Hormones, Cycle and Stage of Life
Learn about the health benefits of fasting and how to tailor your diet, exercise and fasts to your life stage and moon cycle. In this session we'll cover how fasting supports cellular repair, fat metabolism, detoxification, and hormone health. You'll learn the mechanics and will have the opportunity to practice a 15-hour fast during the retreat. Additionally we'll discuss how to feed your hormones by modifying your diet for testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, insulin, melatonin and more.
13
Sunrise Hike
Lace up your boots and pack some water, we're hitting the trail! This easy to moderate hike will require a headlamp or flashlight. Dress appropriately for the weather, and wear layers. The mornings can be quite chilly. There is an element of 'good stress' that comes from putting yourself in unfamiliar situations that creates new neuropathways. Getting out of our comfort zone and braving the unknown is empowering and creates a sense of confidence.
14
04
Writing & Sound Healing
We'll give you some wonderful food for thought and prompts that will allow you to explore concepts like values, morals, fears, joys, and more so you can understand what motivates you into action. During this session, you'll also be bathed in a wonderful sound healing using different frequencies in which the body's organs and systems resonate to restore coherence.
06
The Dutch Test... What Is It and What Do Your Lab Results Mean?
2 months prior to the retreat, you'll be given a Dutch test kit to collect specific samples for analysis. During the retreat, we'll have a general overview about the 'normal' ranges, and then each guest will be given a more complete analysis and recorded consultation with a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist. You'll get 1:1 suggestions based on your unique test results in addition to the group overview.
08
Daily Guided Meditation
Cortisol reduction is a critical part of managing sex hormones like estrogen and progesterone. Additionally, oxytocin stops the production of cortisol. When we meditate, we move the brain into the alpha-theta brainwave state which increases our production of oxytocin. A daily meditation practice can help reduce stress, anxiety and cortisol production making the energy available to create healthy sex hormones.
10
Breathwork Sessions
It turns out, breathing plays a critical role in hormone health. With the appropriate oxygen:CO2 exchange, nasal breathing and repetitive deep-breathing, you can alter the production and metabolism of hormones such as estrogen & testosterone. Throughout the retreat, we'll explore the science and practice a variety of breathing techniques - some facilitated and others you can do on your own at home.

Mood Food with Guest Speaker Kimberley Wilson
The brain is the hungriest organ in the body, using between 20%-60% of our resting rate calories depending on your age. This means nutrition is essential for healthy brain development and proper brain function from childhood to old age. But, while most people know what they should do to take care of their physical well-being, most of us don’t know what our brains need to be healthy. With mental health conditions on the rise around the world, the preventative and protective role of nutrition has never been more important.
In this talk you will learn:
-
Which nutrients are required to build the brain and where best to find them;
-
The role of food in risk of dementia (the leading cause of death in the UK);
-
The role of sugar on mood and aggression;
-
The importance of the gut microbiome for brain health and anxiety;
-
And much more.
Weight Management for Your Constitution
Calorie counting and exercise have notoriously failed women as we reach perimenopause and menopause. What accounts for the extra weight? In this session we'll discuss the 3 primary doshas in Ayurveda and how to eat more appropriately for your constitution while taking into account seasonal changes. One critical component of weight management is shifting out of a sugar-burning energy system and into a fat burning metabolism. Learning how to do this regularly will help you metabolize your hormones, reduce visceral fat and improve your energy throughout the day.
16
Sedona Energy Vortex Tour
We'll embark on a 2-hour expedition with a local guide to visit the energy vortexes of Sedona. "This is not your typical “vortex tour”. Not only do we share the scientific evidence of the vortex phenomena, but we provide the opportunity to feel and experience it for yourself. Through sound frequency and energy movement, we help bring the brainwaves into a conducive state to be more open and receptive to feel the influence of the vortex energy and the effect it has on your body."
15
The Relationship Between Stress, Insulin & Your Sex Hormones
Why managing blood glucose is perhaps the single-most important thing you can do to support the production and metabolism of estrogens, androgens, thyroid hormones and progesterone. In this session, you'll learn more about the chain of events that must occur in the body to produce healthy hormones, and how stress can trigger a chain reaction of disruption.
17
Toxic Loads - Liver, Gallbladder, Kidneys & Hormones
Your liver is the place of filtration, parceling out nutrients, production of bile for fat metabolism, and the place where cholesterol is made. Cholesterol is the key ingredient needed to make hormones. In this session we'll talk about how these powerhouse organs are a critical part of the hormone story, and will give tips and trick on how to recognize toxic build up as well as how to reduce and prevent the reoccurence.
18
90-Day Hormone Reset
So you've had this amazing 4-day experience... now what? During this session we'll introduce you to the 90-day Hormone Reset that will incorporate schedule, worksheets, scorecards and more so you can amplify your practices and implement what you've learned at home.
