Retreat Program
Here's what to expect ... a full agenda will be provided one-month prior to the event. Below are some of the activities we will have available.
01
Living From the Heart - Sacred Ceremony
During this guided sacred ceremony you'll be given the opportunity to reconnect with and listen to your heart. Moving out of the analytical, left-brained action orientation, and dropping into the quiet calm of inner-knowing, we'll envelope you in a cocoon of tranquility so you can hear the call of your soul. Please bring something to place on the altar and dress comfortably.
03
Yoga (Vinyasa, Slow Flow & Restorative)
Our yoga sessions will be approximately 1-hour in duration at varying times during the retreat. Some will be held outdoors (weather permitting) and others indoors. You'll experience 3 different types of Hatha yoga; 1 each day. Props and mats will be provided. Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. Mats and props will be provided. These practices are appropriate for yogis of all experience levels and modifications will be provided by the instructor.
05
Guided & Silent Meditations
Stillness and a quiet mind are the pathway to higher states of consciousness. When we relax the vagus nerve and move into the state of rest & digest (parasympathetic nervous system), we offer the body a safe place to tether and ground. This in turn reduces cortisol and consequently the effects of monkey mind and anxiety. During our meditations you'll be invited to explore the area of the third eye and call upon your ancestors, guardian angels, spirit guides and source energy.
08
Two-Part Inhalation Pranayama Breathwork
One hour of immersive breathing set to music. During this practice you'll be guided on a journey of profound release and will discover the power of breathing to let go of old stories, beliefs, traumas, and thoughts that no longer serve you. It's not uncommon to experience intense emotions and movement of energy.
09
What Does It Mean to be Empathic
In a world throwing around the buzzword empathy like candy, now's the time to understand what it means to be an empath. In this session we'll explore the term, how it shows up and what you can do to implement energetic boundaries so you can better understand what's yours and what's someone else's. We'll also cover the different types of intuition and what those experiences might look like or how they may present themselves.
11
Sunrise Hike
Lace up your boots and pack some water, we're hitting the trail! Winter Park is home to some of the most beautiful terrain in the country, and we'll be viewing it from 9-10,000 feet in elevation. This easy to moderate hike will require a headlamp or flashlight. Dress appropriately for the weather, and wear layers. This is an excellent time to hike in silence and listen to nature.
02
Writing & Sound Healing with Allison Jurgens
We'll give you some wonderful food for thought and prompts that will allow you to explore concepts like values, morals, fears, contentment, and more so you can understand what motivates you into action. During this session, you'll also be bathed in a wonderful sound healing using different frequencies in which the body's organs and systems resonate to restore coherence.
04
Cacao Ceremony
Cacao is a rich sacred medicine that softens the heart and opens the third eye for expansion and connection with universal consciousness. The spirit of the divine feminine runs through her and helps us unlock the potential of our intuitive nature. She creates space for listening to our inner voice, and offers a gateway to understanding. In this session you will be guided through breath and body movement as you allow the work of ceremonial cacao to deliver insights.
06
Reiki
Become attuned with the energy around you as you partake in a group reiki session. Your guide will help you move energy and will teach you how to lean into what you feel rather than what you see, hear, smell, taste and touch.
07
Cultivating Your Intuition
Working in pairs, you'll do an activity to help you develop your ability to 'sense that which is not there'. This exercise is designed for you to look beyond the 5 senses and call upon your inner knowing to access the field of universal consciousness. You'll be given instructions and a process for how to tap into the field and accept the 'answers' as they flow.
10
Somatic Breathwork
Conscious breathing is a 5,000 + year old practice with infinite benefits to our physical, mental and emotional bodies. Modern day neuroscience now supports these ancient techniques, and from Silicon Valley Executives to the Navy Seals, breathwork is being used to manage stress, boost energy, and increase creativity and performance. By breathing in a rhythmic way with an experienced guide in a safe setting, we bypass our thinking/ego mind and access our subconscious mind which gives us an ability to feel and heal on a deep level. Breathwork allows our body's innate intelligence to process our emotions and energy so we can release old patterns, shift into new ways of thinking, and live with more freedom and joy.
