04
Wellness as a Priority in Your Organization
During this session we'll look at case studies from companies who have established corporate wellness as a cornerstone of their employee engagement strategy. You'll learn about the benefits, how it improves productivity, increases a sense of belonging and fosters a culture of health & vitality. Adoption is significantly improved and dependent upon leadership participation as it relates to stress management, work:life balance, and measurement against success criteria.
06
The Gaps & The Gains
In this session we'll leverage the principles from the book of the same name to help you establish a practice of regularly honoring your successes. This well-researched practice helps business owners focus on the positives rather than dwelling on the activities or outcomes that didn't go as planned. A critical part of leveraging the Gaps & Gains mentality is developing an abundance vs. scarcity mindset.
08
Breathwork Sessions
Every day we will engage in breathwork to help reduce cortisol and anxiety. Learning to consciously breathe invites in relaxation and massages the vagas nerve. We'll leverage breathing techniques designed to move trapped, stagnant energy and reveal patterns of 'holding'. Some of the practices will be tools you can take with you to practice on your own post-retreat while others can be facilitated remotely to help you tap into deeper stories, beliefs or trauma that keeps you from genuine intimacy.
11
Mood Food with Guest Speaker Kimberley Wilson
The brain is the hungriest organ in the body, using between 20%-60% of resting rate calories depending on our age. This means nutrition is essential for healthy brain development and proper brain function from childhood to old age. But, while most people know what they should do to take care of their physical well-being, many of us don’t know what our brains need to be healthy. With
mental health conditions on the rise around the world the preventative and protective role of nutrition has never been more important.
In this talk you will learn:
-
Which nutrients are required to build the brain on and where best to find them;
-
The role of food in our risk of dementia (the leading cause of death in the UK);
-
The role of sugar on mood and aggression;
-
The importance of the gut microbiome for brain health and anxiety;
-
And much more.
14
Creating an Abundance Mindset
The laws of attraction and knowing how to stay in an abundance mindset is a skill every business owner needs to cultivate. This session helps you frame your desires in a way that doesn't rely on the 'universe' to deliver to your expectations. Rather it offers tools for how to work with and interpret events, relationships, experiences, and more through the lens of 'learning and growth' rather than fear and scarcity. We'll offer you the science behind the practice and help you understand how leaders with an abundance mindset are more productive.
16
30-Day Wellness Challenge with Allison Jurgens
So you've had this amazing 4-day experience... now what? During this session we'll introduce you to the 30-day Wellness Challenge that will incorporate schedule, worksheets, scorecards and more so you can amplify your practices and implement what you've learned during the retreat at home.
02
Writing & Sound Healing with Allison Jurgens
We'll give you some wonderful food for thought and prompts that will allow you to explore concepts like values, morals, fears, joys, and more so you can understand what motivates you into action. During this session, you'll also be bathed in a wonderful sound healing using different frequencies in which the body's organs and systems resonate to restore coherence.
03
Yoga (Vinyasa, Slow Flow & Restorative)
Our yoga sessions will be approximately 1-hour in duration at varying times during the retreat. Some will be held outdoors (weather permitting) and others indoors. You'll experience 3 different types of Hatha yoga from different instructors for a total of 4 sessions. Props and mats will be provided. Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. These yoga sessions are designed for yogis of all experience levels and modifications will be provided as well as hands on guidance if necessary.
05
Daily Guided Meditation
Cortisol reduction is a critical part of managing stress and improving cognitive performance. Additionally, oxytocin stops the production of cortisol. When we meditate, we move the brain into the alpha-theta brainwave state which increases our production of oxytocin. A daily meditation practice can help reduce anxiety and improve focus, so you are more resilient and can manage cycles of business ownership.

12
Sunrise Hike
Lace up your boots and pack some water, we're hitting the trail! This easy to moderate hike will require a headlamp or flashlight. Dress appropriately for the weather, and wear layers. The mornings can be quite chilly. There is an element of 'good stress' that comes from putting yourself in unfamiliar situations that creates new neuropathways. Getting out of your comfort zone and braving the unknown is empowering and creates a sense of confidence.
13
Eat Right for Your Constitution & the Season
Learn what your Ayurvedic dosha (constitution) is and familiarize yourself with the practices recommended for the upcoming season. Staying in balance and creating opportunities for wholeness means understanding how to move and flow with the rhythms of nature. 15
Establishing Routine, Boundaries and Time Chunks
Structure is a vital part of successful leadership and helps keep you stay grounded during times of chaos. As a business owner, it's essential to learn the art of setting expectations, boundaries, measurable goals and a daily routine for yourself and others. The action of time-chunking and scorecards are wonderful tools that can be used to hold yourself and your team accountable while also creating the necessary structure and criteria business goals.
